About this event
Friday, November 13 Mel Bryant & the Mercy Makers w/ Biitchseat, Molly O'Malley, and Valentine Ventura at Grog Shop Doors 7 PM | Show 8 PM ALL AGES $20 advance / $25 day of show + $3 at the door if under 21 Mel Bryant & the Mercy Makers write songs for screaming from the passenger seat. An east coast born rock band combining classic rock, punk and alternative influences, the Mercy Makers record in their backyard barn-turned-home studio in East Nashville, Tennessee. Grungy guitars and raucous drum beats are spearheaded by Bryant's ferocious feminine energy through crass, cutting lyricism and her booming bass guitar. This eclectic and singular sound has been suffused with the storytelling of the place they now call home, tackling themes like queerness, mental illness and anti fascism with a cheeky wit that leaves you wondering if you should be laughing, crying or starting a fight.
